When I got a mail from Access Bank that I have been selected for the YouThrive Initiative, I was quite excited. This is an opportunity I had been yearning for and it opened the door for me to join the Tech Community. Prior to this time, I didn’t know much about Data Science, so the experience was a new one. But I was expertly guided through the learning process all thanks to the amazing tutor of CareerEx, Mr. Emmanuel Ani. He wasn’t just an Instructor but ensured he carried all students along. Explaining all the complex definitions, writing out codes and giving motivational speeches to encourage us not to give up. In my project, I was able to build and train a Machine Learning Model that can predict high income earners; I think I did a good job because I’m graduating with an overall score of 93%. Thank you so much Access Bank, CareerEx, and Mr. Emmanuel Ani for this wonderful experience.

Career Ex is the best place to be. I tell you this for free. The excitements and chills I get once an assignment was given was the max for me. You guys kept me on my fit.. especially our Tutor Mr Oluwatoba Makinde. Thank you sir.. From one of the variety night’s, we were told that Career Ex is beyond the vision we see now, I believe in that vision and proud of this almanata and I hope to be part of this great future. Finally, a big thank you to access bank for the scholarship.

Been a very impacting learning journey 💥 it is even more interesting because David (the Backend tutor), he is so good with his teaching methodologies. I particularly love how he made the function statements look relatable to me which had been a bit challenging before hand.

When I started the program I didn’t know what to expect because I had taken part in some other programs like this but I only got little. CareerEx was different because by the middle of the program it all began to make sense and I was learning alot. My teacher was just gifted in knowing how to use the right words and pass his knowledge on backend. All I can say is that I am happy I found careerEx when I did. Thanks to my backend instructor Mr David and CareerEx institute.

It was a great idea joining Career Ex training, I didn’t just learn a tech skill (product design), I also learnt how to be self discipline (keeping up to project deadlines). Thanks to CareerEx and to our dear tutor Miss Helen for the experience and knowledge.

It’s how I moved from having no knowledge in product design to designing beautiful UI interface for me. Learning in the YouThrive programme by Careerex and Access Bank was an amazing experience. I loved every bit of it from the start of the programme to the end, getting hands-on experience in the track I applied for to meeting amazing people especially the amazing tutor of product design track, Ms. Helen. I remembered, whenever they talked about backend, I always think that it is a buck on long stuffs, server, database and lot. My question was, if I want to learn this BE, where will I start from. When I even registered for this program I don’t remember, twas my sis that I refered told me that so so stuff we registered for sent her message. Anyways, though not 100%, but I can boost that I’ve learnt a lot and I can now call myself a backend developer. Also sir David Sampson, I appreciate you also, you’re a great teacher. Thanks to Access bank and thanks to YouthRive organizers.

It’s great to participate through this awesome platform, it was marvelous, I learnt a lot.
